that basket has vents underneath the spider platform.......whereas....the venezuela 4 spoke doesn't.....so theoretically it could yield more powerhandling....

I have a Refurbished 12 inch Brahma, almost everything is brand new, so no worry about it being blown. Both Voice coil is recone, upgraded basket for more power handing, aluminum rubber is also replace and others etc...I just bought WRX-STI so I wont be needing this anymore =( because it put too much weight onto my car.All shipping require a subwoofer package that cost $25 to protect the sub from any damage then plus shipping $46.43. Guarantee it Work!!!!!

and on the vents, yeah, they'll help keep the vc cooler, so some increased power handling is possible...but is/was that the reason adire went to that basket?

Yes, I have seen Steven Kephart say they went to the 12 spoke basket for the increase in cooling. That is a the basic difference between the Mark I and Mark II Brahma.

Since the auction says an 'upgraded' basket, Im assuming its a Mark I that had the basket changed when it was reconed, FWIW.
