Absolutely, if they want to argue, tell them you 2 will pay option B prices in thier rooms, and they can share. Trust me, they won't go for it.

Rent should be divided amongst the people living there by what they have or what they give up. 2 people in a room shouldn't have to pay as much RENT as 1 person in a room.

Bills should be divided up amongst living souls in the house equally. Electric, water, sewage, trash, maid service, etc.

Food is a gray area and has been better left off as to each their own; labels, separate storage, whatever.
