I have a chevy malibu with a factory head unit with security, and I disconnected my battery and put a op battery in it, now its asking for a code, i looked all in my manual and it dosent say anyhing, but it needs a three digit code or something, Does anyone know where to get that code, I figured it would be in the car somewhere or in the manual but I guess not. Thanks

Oh ok I thought about that, wasnt sure if the code was hidden in the car somewhere like it is on with some keyless entry key pads, but thats what I will do, Thanks

ya same thing that happened to me. You have to go to the factory to get the number restored. Get ready to wait like 2 hours to get the stereo fix and shell out 60 bucks for it
