true true... all i know is that i hate ''hearing'' the bass, I'd much rather feel the bass. and the w7 does just that.

i've ALWAYS hated JL's crap - ALL OF IT... but the w7 is a totally new breed of quality, and power. i dont know why anyone would knock on a w7. if its setup right with the right amp, its an insanely powerful sub. put on some lil jon (not that i listen to that, but its good for bass) and i dont know anyone that could fux with it. its high quality with no distortions and it will make your whole face tingle and make it hard to breath. whats wrong with that?

No way is the JL a bad sub, its a good quality sub and built good as well also. I just hate how people claim its the 'best' because it is JL without giving me a known fact why. I think its a great sub and would like to have one if I could, but for the price they charge is outrageous. I mean d*mn that much for 1 sub? There are good quality subs you can get, built to order, for haf that price you know? Its like two car notes for a sub. My advice in my honest opnion playa, is to lower the price, and take the pics and go for it.

The main reason people would rip on any of JL's products is they are way over priced. JL makes good quality stuff don’t get me wrong, but for the money you can get much better. To many people swear by JL's gear because that is all they know (along with other mainstream brands), they do not see the better stuff because it is not as heavily marketed as the JL products. I know a guy that tried to start an argument with me saying that a JL W7 is much better in every aspect then a RE XXX(07-08 model), I do not fault him for trying to make a retarded argument, it’s just that JL's marketing methods have worked on him. According to him JL is the absolute best on the market and you cannot sway him from that opinion very easily. Also JL dealers push JL products a little more than they’re other lines because they make a better profit on them then other brands, from what I have heard anyway.

There are many subs that will sound better or be louder than the W7, just check some other stuff out, this forum is an awesome resource, I have jumped off the Kicker/JL bandwagon a long time ago thanks to this site.

If you really want to sell it for that much, craigslist may be your best bet. But it is a nice sub, and I would love to own a 13W7, but I'll just stick with my current 2 ported 12W6V2s.

a RE XXX sub is in that 700 dollar price range, and will OWN a W7 in every aspect. Buddy had a W7 and he ended up getting rid of it and buying a RE XXX.

Let's be truthful here...I don't think anybody will pay $700 for a 13W7, if you want to have a shot at selling that beast, you gonna have to bring it to the 350-450 range. It's a nice quality woofer I've owned it, but my friends XXX was a monster compared to my W7.

just outta curiosity tho, whats better for 700? the w7 wangs hard as hell....

I can get a DD9512g BNIB and get 50ft of 2/0 awg wire and build myself a box for that cost. Sure its a good deal for those who buy retail. But nobody on this site pays retail. Try Ebay or Craigslist and GL to you. Not trying to bash you or anything, just trying to help you get what you want out of it.

O, and the DD would own the living **** out of a w7, and someone who knows how to do an instal could own the **** out of two W7's.

when im ready to buy again, ill be sure to check this site out... i did not realize there was better sh*t out there. cause im completely amazed by the w7, i cant imagine what better sounds/feels like.

i got the 13 from a place off northwest highway in palatine... i think their out of business now tho.
