I think that's dependant on the individual buyer, Chris.

Every piece of electronic equipment I have ever sold on eBay I sold with a disclaimer about it being As Is. As a seller you have no method to gauge the installation abilities of your buyer - you could sell an amp that you know for an absolute certainty worked 100% when you shipped it out....some complete audio n00bx gets it, scrubs the install in some way, and then complains of a faulty product and want their money back? No thanks, Jack.

I agree, but IMO, a guarantee against DOA is better, but its not up to me...

The way around that is to feature pics of the actual item up for auction within the listing and show pictures of the unit operating (easy for a head unit - a bit tougher for an amp when all you can really show in a picture is a power-on LED burning...but that's enough for most people)

Also, his signature talks about USMC Sniper School. His user profile say's he's only 18 so I doubt that he's attending the school. I thought you had to be an E-5 to attend (I may be wrong on that). Anyway, most people that are in or have gone to the school don't advertise/brag about it:

True, but there is a dispute process, you saying "as is" without a garantee is like saying "I'm selling you a lump of shit, it may be grade a shit, but its shit all the same."

Just because you put it up on eBay doesn't make me feel "at ease", I certainly don't speak for the rest of the forum, though. There are tons of people scamming on eBay (ask Kenny Pollock about Ladd Murdock) and most of them even give a decent item description, not just "This amp is awsome, works great to this moment, 500 watts pure clean JL power, comes with original box, if buy it now is used you get FREE SHIPPING (sold as-is no warranty expressed or imlplied)" and the manufactures published info. Come on, at least describe and cosmetic defects, how it was used/cared for and why your selling it...

I could give a shit about your rifle and how well you shoot... I'm qualified as an expert rifleman by USMC standards. And speaking of signatures and what-not, why don't you show some respect and capitalize the "m" in your title (US Marines)???
