if it turns out i found out i actually was doing 20+ over the limit, i'd be glad i didnt have to serve any jail time.

im glad i dont have to serve jail time either but you never answered the question would be happy about the ticket you received becasue of an issue not within your controll?

i mean maybe take somethign up with the car lot if its brand new but i dont think you have any merit with the speeding issue.

the truck had a 3 year 30000 mile warrenty its 23 years old but has 49000 on it. i rack up a lot of mile commuting. so they wont do anything and there is no recall though i know other have had the same problem i have. it just itns worth chevys time/money to fix it. oh but the dealer does want $531 to replace my gauges. insult to injury no?

I live in CA , my Speedo didnt work on my camaro for 5 years before i fixed them, never got a speeding ticket, guess i was lucky lol

no i was heading northbound on hwy 101 leaving San Francisco. it was in marin county in the city of novato. dont know if you know where those places are.

my speedometer doesnt work right, its set up for 3.23 gears and i have 3.73's. granted if i have to i can check it and get a good idea of how fast im going, but i never have to look at it.

still sucks about the ticket, courts/most cops/authority figures in general are dicks.

you never looked at your speedo on your way to the freeway? I still can't see how you haven't looked at your speedo. I drive across stated lines every morning and hit the freeway within a few minutes from my house but still can't say i've made a trip without atleast checking my speedo. I see what you are saying about traffic(sorta) but do you just appear in traffic? or are your side roads full of traffic as well.

BTW i got a buddy who just moved up here from novato.

hwy 101 5 lannes for traffic roads are smooth and hardly a soul on the road on a saturday morning so you cant tell how fast your passing cars because there are no cars to pass.

Don't know where you are but in the bay area 101 always has cars on it no matter what time it is. Oh and the freeway is usually tore up in the bay area. Not smooth at all.

I still don't see how the issue wasn't "in your control"...as the operator of the vehicle, it's your job to ensure that you're obeying the law. Period. You may not have been aware of the problem, but that doesn't excuse you from the results, or make you any less responsible for them.
