i have a 01 king ranch f-150 and just wondering how many members on here have f-150 and what installs have you done to your trucks, just how custom or how stock the installs look just curious.

also wondering where f150 97-03 owners grounded their amps at, i grounded mine on the back wall just wondering if its a good spot or no

also wondering how hard the big 3 is to do and where you made the connections at

any info is appreciated

Not sure how different the NBS is from your 01. I'm going to ground to the frame in the back. Big 3 I ran from the alt bracket to the batt. I went the lazy route and ran from the stock ground point on the firewall to the batt, if I get too bad a voltage drops I'll ground to the frame instead.

i have an '03 fx4 and i gota do the big 3 as well. For now i hav a sony head unit, a boston gt-40, and 4 Sl80s (not installed)

ok i know where and how to do the pos alt to pos batt

but for the batt to ground do i ground to the frame the or can i ground to like the sheet metal the firewall or w/e

and for the engine to chasis where do i ground that at i can go from alt to where

i am gonna fuse the pos but i dont want to hook something up wrong and blow my truck up

also how much deadner did u guys use and how many layers per door is enough

well my truck isnt that bad on noise from the oustide getting in but i need to deaden my front doors and seal them for better midbass and to make it quiter anyway

also got to do something with the roof since my subs are facing up and only bout 10 inches from the roof it vibrates bad and teh back wall as well since my port is firing into the back wall

i know 04 and up those trucks are so loud on the inside the noise comes in so easy from the outside its so annoying

ya i have a friend with an 04 f150. if ur outside of the truck tho u cant hear anything inside. he has 2 subs (not very powerful ones tho) and u cant hear them at all. but you can see his door shake.

yea but on the inside when u going down the road all u hear is the road noise and wind it blows

Yup, my 07 is super quiet inside, even with m/t tires. Ford actually did a good job keeping the noise down inside. And like KR, the only reason I'm deadening the doors is to seal em up for some better midbass.

well the 04 model sucks its not quiet at all inside my dad has one and its annoying u have to yell to talk to one another lol

if you are talking to me no i didnt take my back seats out i have a king ranch with bucket seats in front and back with consoles so itook the rear console out and mobeious built me a nice *** box aeroport tuned to 34hz 5.2net for my 2 12's l7's port firing towards the back wall and the subs facing up and i get a extra king ranch symbol and mounted it on the front of the box

i was thinking of downfiring but i just figured it would kill the loudness to the ear

and then i have my momo comp set the mids in stock location cant wait to deaden and seal doors then they will come alive i mean tehy have excellent midbass now as it is but after i do that they should be twice as good the tweet i just have a temp spot for tehm right now just bout 3 inches bove thhe mid

but they cant keep up with the subs so i am getting a set of q logic kicks that are wood grain to match my interior and a set of cdt cl 62 cf's to put down there already ordered them from exige great deal on them, i just got to order my kicks now

My friends 05 is perfectly quiet besides his exhaust, even with 37" m/t's it rides pretty **** quiet.

Same here, its freakishly quiet for 37's. It gets much louder once you tear out the back seat and take off the backwall cover though. Sucks when the backwall cab vents open up with no backseat in place to cover the roadnoise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Can't wait to seal those bitches off.
