Extra batteries

Looking to install 2 extra batteries in addition to existing bat.

1)How do the kinetic 2400's compare to yellow tops?

2) just to be sure, i wire them all in parallel, correct?

3) i know that the shorter the distance is better, but would it be ok if i mounted both of the extra bats in the bed of my truck? Would be building a metal box and rhino lining it but is it ok?

Thanks

far better power

use some 1/0 to run to the bed no problem

I have a everstart MAXX marine dry cell battery installed in the trunk that i paid 72 for it out the door...... and its killer.. probably not even on the same page as the batteries posted above. but you could get 2 of them for the price of one of those....

well i still need to run about 7-8 ft of wire from the bed of my truck to the main bat in the engine bay. should i fuse that line or no? just curious, why not fuse between the 2 extra bats?

2 2400's should be ok and yes fuse the power wire running to the back within 18" of the front and 18" in back in the bed...would sav the truck if you had a short.

you need to fuse the wire between the front battery and 1st rear battery. but between the 2nd and third battery your fine because i assume theyll be right next to each other. i understood it as ur putting 2 2400's in the back correct? if not just disregard me

one more question. in the kinetic manual, it says i can ground an amp directly to the extra battery. is it better to do this or just ground it somewhere else? also, i would connect all of the - on all of the bats, correct? meaning neg on extra bat #1 to neg on extra bat #2 to neg on reg bat in engine bay.

a truck has a real frame so you probably could ground it to the frame without going bck up front...but if it were me i would simply because its less trouble getting it right the first time.

hey i threw together a diagram on paint of what i think is correct. does anyone mind if i shoot it over to you and check it out to make sure im right. its only the power/ ground wires to/from the batteries and amps. thanks
