got on this man's thred to make a smart *** comment and still doe's not help out
No I honestly cannot comprehend his broken English. When trying to solve a problem like this where one specific item could be causing it, it helps to have an idea of what they are trying to say.

My teammate has had to send his EA alt back 4 times so far and he has only had it for 1 year. Just got sent back Thursday, threw it on, and he is having the same issues......charges to 14.1v then all of a sudden drops to 12.0v. Wait a little bit and it spikes back to 14.1 - all sitting at idle with no load (other than the car running)!

Wonder if Nate had a batch of bad voltage regulators? Regardless, I now know where "Excessive" came from - EXCESSIVE returns!

X2 pawty

I have an Excessive Alt. And I know Nate does not give good instructions on how to wire up the regulator. It took me a while to figure out what he's missing. The 12v relay on the positive wire.

The one I am talking about is internally regulated........so maybe he doesn't have instructions himself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

yea for sure,, it deff worked,, and i ask nate in an email how to hook it up to make sure i got it right,,

The POS needs to be connected to a 12 volt IGNITION source. NOT constant battery, it must only have power when the vehicle is running.

The NEG must go to a good ground source. It will charge at 20 volts if it is not gounded good !

The FLD goes to the brown wire coming from the plug in the alternator.

The STATOR goes to the blue wire coming from inside the alternator. There is a small white screw on the top of the regulator, down in a hole, this is where you adjust the voltage at. Turn it left to lower the voltage and right to raise the voltage

nothing about relays,, man i tell you his shits gonna go down hill quich if he doesnt get on point
