ok i have a hight out put all from EA then it wasent working right mailed it back, also got an externl regulator,, well hooked it up, to day and it doesent hold any form of steady voltage for shit any i dears, the wires are hooked up to the right spots on the regulator ,m, thanks if any one can help

i have an external voltage gauge on the dash, i also have my dmm on the amp its self. i also see the light on my cluster brighting and fadint with the voltage change belt is tight ,

o and i made sure i had a good ground by adding a second wire from the reguator to a diffrent ground point,, because nate said if i dont have a good ground voltage will shoot to 20.v

Make sure the wire that goes to your alternator is in the right place and isn't in the spot that your relay is supposed to be hooked up to, because if it isn't in the right spot it'll also shoot right up to 20v.

ok i hear you,, but the wire was installed in to the plug by nate,,im trying to get it to 15v but its bounching from 14.2 to 15.5, and its shaking the engine, for the fact of it, wanting to charge then not charge back and forth,, and nate isent around on the week ends

I had to Hook the hot wire on my External thru a Relay then to the alt. Other wise if you hook the power wire up to the alt with out a relay it will drain the battery. But if you hook it up to an Ignition on switch under the dash the voltage will be all over the place.

i see thats wuts going on nate said hook it to an ignition soure so that it is not getting voltage while the car is off,, can you explaine a little better the steps i have to do to fix it ,, thanks rhoughton1

No there is a pos. wire on the regulator hook that up to a relay the hook the pos. wire on the relay directly to the alt. and the triger wire on the relay to the ignition on source.I'll try to get some pics for you.

thanks im familer with the 5 prong bosch relay,, but its a little fuzzy sence i havent worked with relays in like 9 months,, lol 30, 85 86 87 87a just direct me from there thanks
