Extended Cab Truck Box Builders- COME!!

Alright, after going to a recent competition I want to build a different box. I got to look at some boxes that burped 160 in trucks, but I want to be able to listen to daily music.

These boxes were subs forward( almost sitting on the ground) port up (slot ports that were at the back of the box, spanding the length of the entire box). If that doesn't make sense I can make it out in paint for someone.

The box I'll be building is for (2) Death Penalty 12's. So I was thinking 4~cubes tuned to 35? Suggestions?

Any help on port area, placement, sub placement, box dimensions / placement will be greatly appreciated. I'm learning this competiton thing one step at a time. I've got a good grip on electrical, now its time to become a box building God //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks,

Matt

if its just a slot port why not make interchangeable ports. One for daily and one for competition. Or its a lot more money but could do a few aero ports. I am still trying to learn all the length/port area for designing and such but building would be easy if I had the dimensions.

Didn't I tell you what box to build over 2 months ago?
Listen to this man! I got a chance to hear his truck this weekend and it's impressive to say the least //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i did mine off to the side, but two dp 12's might want more port area than a 15" Q...

if you're building a rectangular box instead of a wedge(like mine) then the port in the back shouldn't hurt your mounting depth too much. i had to put a spacer ring on mine because the angle of the box cause the mag to touch the port wall

you gave me a vague answer, you said what worked best for your s10, but i've heard that rangers like ports differently
Ports to the side works just as well in rangers as well. There was an extended cab ranger at db drag finals in '05 that had subs up and ports to the driver's side.

It works fine for daily.

Otherwise you can do subs and ports up.
