Extended cab s-10 Audioque build

At what frequency? What was the setup? I find that hard to believe. Maybe a 155 burp but not on music with subs and port up.
OP should do subs forward and port up as it will work great for daily.
8.5ft3 after displacement(pretty much all available room there was) tuned to 35hz. Had 2 DD 9515 d2 with a HK4KD for daily and two for shows. Never swapped ports or anything..let me see if I can dig up some pics and more specs on it. It has been a long time since I had this build....

This is what I could find..sorry but this is all just guess work from a note book I had the design in(I'm sure it is not exact as I tend to change things when I actually build it)....

Ruffly-54x21x19 ish Going to be just under 10ft3(Before displacement)

10 x 19 port(not sure on length or exact tuning)

here are a few pics though

OP-do sub forward port up if your a tall guy subs up ***** bad...I had no room to move back then.

I still don't see 55s on music with that. I can see a 55 burp with both amps but from my experience helping build a world champion s10 and picking the brain of a s-10 guru I know how hard it is to get certain numbers. Do you remember the peak of that setup? The peak freq of s-10's is 70+hz.

this setup peaked at 52hz on burp. This was also on a 16 volt setup as well. Let me see if I can dig up some results from back in the day...

Personally I don't see 155 to be a hard number to get in a S10 with good power and subs. Now anything after that is a *****. I did play around with some burp boxes, but was never happy with them. I never got to run at a show with the burp box do to the wreck though.

I couldn't find any results, but after talking with a buddy(who competed that year with me) he said it did a 155.2 burping and 152.? on music... I guess that is what it did then. Sorry for the confusion. It has been several years and many builds since then.

I would assume you are talking about rob and his box style s10?

That sounds more like it. No problem on the confusion

No jimbo from team big un

I just installed a new battery and alternator because the old ones went bad. I am a super noob at all this stuff. To get another battery would I need to get a performance alternator?

I am trying to get a hold of a design for the box, I plan on getting started tomorrow!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

I got a design from Ryan (RAM_Designs) and I gave him the wrong dimensions, then he completely redesigned for free. Ryan is very legit, I would recommend him to anyone who needs a design! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

I got all the pieces cut out, and pre drilled all the holes. I am gluing the first part tonight. I do not own a scroll saw, so I am taking the top piece to a different shop to cut the sub hole, and port. I still need to cut one of the corner 45's. The saw I used did not have anti-kickback guards, one piece of wood to the stomach is enough. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Any major tips for gluing???

Anyways here are some pictures. (taken on my phone, sorry for the quality)

Are clamps completely necessary? I was planning on putting the glue down, then screwing the boards together.
Without a few clamps you will have a hard time keeping everything square. I would recommend investing in at least a couple bar clamps and one corner clamp.

I don't even use screws...
