Explanation of LED Screen's configuration

Hello All.

Looking to purchasea new LED screen head unit for my Honda Civic 09.

I would like to run a USB memory stick from it supplying my music.

Please can anyone explain to me when the radio is 4G +128G (for example) which G will be running the USB stick?

I don't know which G runs what???

Obviously I don't want a low G (which ever one it is) that will run the USB stick as it will obviously run slow and bitty.

Thank you

Hi RobGMN

Thanks for replying.

I have been looking at some screens on Amazon but they give a range from 2G+32G right up to 6G+128G and up further.

I like these as they come with CanBus and connections for the small screen. Plus of course it comes with the built in dash frame

My confusion is which G to get to run my USB memory stick smoothly as that will hold my music as I don't use my mobile an awful lot.

I won't be using the screen for much else really, the radio at times.

Thanks

Interesting radio. They come with separate LED screen sold? And USB sick. I’ve never seen that radio before. By G u mean hertz, as in mega hertz connections? Right? The only thing I have on a radio like that is the USB. That’s a high potential zone. As in NPN and PNP bipolar transistors. Not sure how they connected a stick to it to input music. Reason being the OP AMPs buffer area still has only two inputs to it. Not three. So I don’t how they designed this radio. It’s not physics, just not the appropriate tech yet. Walmart sell those as a separate unit. And maybe auto-zone. You can hook up Bluetooth speakers to it. I’m not sure if they have the inverter for iPhone Car charging on USB. They all come with a cigarette connections to that inverter. But that’s the USB. Still there. Remember current flows from a high potential area to a - e low potential area zone. - e flows in the opposite direction direction.

I think lots of people like car audio and want to learn it. I’m all for the trade. But I’m for the old school bead board guys testing their designs first before it comes out on the market. This technology hasn’t come out yet.

Thanks Mitchell.
No I don't mean hertz, I do mean G, as in bytes. This is how large the power is to either run the HD and apps or to run any external devices, for example my USB stick that will contain my music files.

I just need to know which G (eg 4G+128G) will be running the USB stick.

I can see your point. At 128 G that may require more power. If so, some thing that will convert the ampere, 1 ampere or 100 ampere, to 10,000 mA. But I would not know what component or how to even design this circuit. But the design is already there. Able to work.

Thanks but no. It's nothing to do with how much power is needed to run the actual radio. It's the memory size that is needed to transfer the music files to the HD to play the music files. Which G is it, so I can then work out just how big the G has to be to transfer the usb stick's files smoothly.

An image attached is just example of the different in G sizes.......

Thanks for your knowledge in engineering. Like it. DVDs is the only thing I can make of the radio. Connected to the USB. Me? Been associated with computers and electronics since high school. And after. About 1990. But I can see many engineers on the forum. Picked up a book in 2017, now I’m a hobbyist.
