Expand or start fresh?...Limited budget...

So in my sig as you can see I am running one 12 and 500w...built the box myself and the past 8 months or so it has pleased me...but i want to do more come the holidays...on a budget of $350...and my mom also has opted to get me a HO alternator (Been a few years since she has gotten me anything for xmas...but as you get older what do you expect...i'd be happy with just a pair of socks haha)....the alt will do anywhere for 230-270amps

But with the $350 budget what should i do?...I was thinking of just adding another 1242D and changing to an audiopipe so i have room to expand later...either that or another MRP-m500.

If you have any recommendations feel free to add based on this budget...i have no problem going used. as long as the stuff is in good working order.

Box would be a birthday gift to myself (Dec 27th) and if i stick with another 1242D i would do 4.5cu ft @ 32hz except subs facing up and port facing back.

Also just 2 other questions regarding a HO alternator. Is it just a direct swap or do i have to mess with the voltage regulator?....Also i know ill be running either 1000w or a little over...would you reccomend another battery in the trunk? or will the alt be enough to stop my battery gauge from dipping when the low notes hit?

how much power do you want to run? since you got an HO alt would you run something big?

You don't need an HO alt until you're at least over 1500w... pushin 1600w on OEM alt and battery. A good battery up front, and maybe another in the trunk will give you more than enough to run 1000w+.

And I'd strongly suggest you invest in a front stage as well:\

When i can afford it...right now i'd say about 1500rms from one of these Audiopipe amp which would set me back roughly $140 fleabay...that gives me about $200 for ze woofas.

Front stage is the least of my worries...i will take care of that as well before the new years.

is that a memeber on here? or is there a website i can go to?...I would love to do 2 12's since it will provide more cone area. I'm sure if i sell what i have in my truck right now...i could easily get $300 from some kid wanting bass in his ride from CL.

he is a member here. im probably going to get 2 subs off him for probably around 400. so save up. but for those subs your going to need more than just 1500 to get the most of the subs.

pft! get the HO alt! forget the extra batts in the back if your going to run up to 2500rms... i have an ho alt and one agm battery as my starter. no voltage drop with roughly 2k in my truck. so go for the h.o. alt its often the first thing every does NOT get due to the price thinking adding batteries will help. now as far as substage, with your budget i say get another type are man! they are **** loud woofers! two of them on an audiopipe 1800. budget at its finest. Ill design you a box for free. just link me to this thread when it comes times and ill do it. also ppl dont pm me tryna get a free design.
