exide orbital batteries hows that compare to optima batteries?

just bought a new one for $40 bucks thought it was a great deal they said its the same as optima batteries? opinions please...

i dont know how it compares to a red/yellowtop, but exide does make a good product.

Batteries are batteries (within a particular design). It's a stable technology; no one company has the market cornered on deep cycle cells.

same spiral cell layout... much different materials... much higher quality mat in the optima and a far superior paste. The difference really shows up in spl testing, and in harsh daily use applications.

ehh scottie would know that one. i asked about them too. they arent well thought of in car audio uses even though a big company does use them.
