Excessive Amperage..to buy or not to buy?

was quoted $260 shipped for a 200 amp alternator w/ a 3 month warranty for my 2000 Grand Am...now at first i heard nothing but good about the company but lately there has been some bad....should i trust the company and buy it or spend more money and buy somewheres else?

how long did it take you to get it after you paid?..how did you pay? he told me it would only take him 3 days to build it so that wouldnt take too long at all.

I bought mine from him and paid about 315 for it shipped and painted. Nathan worked with me as well, at the time I didn't have the money right away. He was very patient in doing so. I just got mine installed earlier tonight. You can see the pics in my thread in the same section. Oh and 260 is a dam good price....mine's also 200 amps.

Uh I don't remember the exact amount but I think it was around 20....powder coating was a little more.

was yours a direct bolt on with no mods?...and you said it took you 2 hours...are you mechanically enclined???

Heh, yes I'm very mechanically inclined. Guess that's why I'm a machinist by trade. So....yes it was direct bolt on....just like the OEM was, and no mods were done.

ok..i was just wondering cause im not the most mechanically enclined..i mean i can do it it just takes me longer than most...i need smoke breaks and what not cause ill end up smashing something...well im definitely going to be ordering it tomorrow, going to ahve to call him to see about paint....you have his #?
