can you not bracket it up and run it as a secondary only for the audio? essentially never hooking it into the stock system only using the belt line and all output to the amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif kind of like the big spl vehicles and leave the stocker in place.

I know of no one here in my town that has the expertise to perform such a task. My Dad has been working with various metals for 27 years and he said it would be quite the daunting task. Never mind the fact of making a bracket, the worst part of a 2nd alt is the space factor. You should crawl under a protege' one day and see where the alt is and then make a recommendation. You will change your tune quickly.
