Exactly HOW BAD is my wiring? I may have cut a few corners....

YES!

By the way, why would you buy speaker from best buy just because they are expensive? How does that make any sense? Just because a product is more expensive doesn't make it best (not to say type R is bad) and also you can buy expensive stuff for a lot cheaper by chopping around. I know I know, it's a foreign concept, but it's worth looking into.

Sorry that part wasn't clear, I didn't buy it from best buy, just compared the price. Got it new off Amazon. I'll go ahead and buy a distribution box to run my 6G or 8G 12V wire from amp to amp. I have a 4G but that shits WAY WAY WAY too big especially to carry 400 W come on, no way, 4G is for like 1200 W amps and up.

Before ripping apart my wiring I trouble shot it. What I did is, since my 400W Sub Amp is working wonderfully, I took all of the leads from it and connected it to my 200W amp. Ran new good speaker wire to the rear speakers (just over the seats because cosmetics comes later) and It didnt sound very well, then out of no where the amp stopped working. What a piece of shit. I'm going to demand a refund, then buy a new 200W amp, hell maybe 400 watt for 4 chan, then disto block and try it from there.

Also, I'm NOT changing the HU.....do you realize what the 2004 honda accord LX HU is? AC & Climate Controls, this isn't just a stereo, is a huge *** block of car. I took it out once. But yeah, no way, they made this car NOT wanting you to replace the HU.

There has got to be some kind of dash kit for that car. Wouldn't this work? Amazon.com: Stereo Install Dash Kit Honda Accord 03 04 2003 2004…

Power wire is super important. No 4 gauge is not only for 1200watts and above. The bigger the gauge cable, the lower impedance from power source to amp. Just because you have very low impedance and more power than is necessary at your disposal doesn't mean that it will hurt anything. Beside, you will probably want to upgrade your equipment soon enough. We all do.

Again, do it right. Don't cut corners, it will cost more in the long run and take way more time.

You gotta figure out a way to replace your stock HU.

You don't always have to replace the HU, he can get a factory integration adapter that will do the job because his climate control and everything is tied into the stereo I guess, I've seen cars with it near the stereo but a separate unit, I wouldn't be surprise if Honda tied it into the stereo itself.

I was just looking at it a minute ago and there are a couple guys that did some aftermarket stereo's that look really good. I didn't check it in great detail though.

I haven't ever heard of a factory integration adapter. I guess something like that could work too.

As far as the power wires, use the distro block as stated, but ur main wire should be at least a good 4 guage for some headroom in case you decide to upgrade amps. 8 guage from there to amps would be fine your bigger amp at most shouldnt pull much more then 40 to 50amps tops i suppose. watts/volts=amps IIRC then take into account the efficiency (spelling?).

amperes is watts/.7/14.4. That accounts for efficiency and gives you a rough estimate. so he's looking at right around 60 amperes total.
Very nice, thank you. I have written that down in my book of knowledge. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I didnt know that.
