Evil-ution

Your remark about holic being a "know it all" is what I was referring to. All though I would bet you meant it in the same i did by saying the same thing about you.
Yet you suggested that I(and others) are hypocrites because we suggested that you are a "know it all". In reality we were referring to your character traits. Not that you do or do not know it all. Which is the same way you meant it to holic.

yes, I can see your point that I should have cleared that up a bit.
Ah. Good point. I can tell you to me it seems different, but I can concede that I'm assuming it isn't at all if I were unbiased.

Ah, I didnt see the link the first time. Lets make this easy for you, I undeleted the only two posts in that thread that were deleted, I will quote them here for posterity, and I will explain exactly what rule you broke to receive those deletes and infractions...

That's it bro, that's all that was deleted, those two posts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Where, in those posts did you pose any information (let alone evidence) beyond name calling and personal insults? You claims its the 'name I chose'... let me be real clear here, my name is not ahole-ic, and calling someone an ahole in the tech section is a clear violation of the rules. If you cannot follow the rules, do not blame the one who enforces them. And do not claim the deleted replies have data in them that they do not. Try again, oh so oppressed one. lol
What is it that you think those posts do not prove? What is in them that was in violation of the rules that warranted deleting that is not in other posts that were not deleted?

No, God created those stars, and placed them that far away, and put their photons are just the right place for us to simply think the universe is that old, when in reality the universe is no older than loin clothes and the wheel.
This actually begs the question, if creation IS true, then it must be true that God created the earth to appear to man very old. Just like Adam would've been a man, not a zygote. (Appearing aged.) That said, this doesn't disprove evolution, actually it adds credibility.

What is it that you think those posts do not prove? What is in them that was in violation of the rules that warranted deleting that is not in other posts that were not deleted?
I already explained what rule was broken. Does my name contain the word ahole? Stop playing innocently stupid, you called a name which is a clear rule violation, you got your post deleted for it, now you want to be all butt hurt over it. Lesson learned, if you want to have your opinion heard, dont break the rules doing it. Capiche?

And this still does not negate the fact that neither post deleted contained a shred of data on-topic. I quoted both posts here, they were nothing but personal attacks, in the tech section. Are you suggesting you dont know the rules of this forum?

This is pretty much done as far as being reasonable, it's nothing more than who can stick their nose up higher and still be able to see the person under them. Science is a great tool and can explain MANY things but not everything. Turning a blind eye to the possibility that there is a creator is no better than extremists who say science is evil. The problem with many peoples negative views towards religion is it's based more so on organizations who use it for power and fear mongering . They twist things to there liking and agenda. While there's no need for me to get into some big debate here as it will get lost in the crossfire, here's a few things to think about in contrast between commonly taught vs truth: There is no place of eternal torment(Hell), not all good people go to Heaven, the Earth will not be destroyed, not everyone believed the Earth was flat, and there is irrefutable(scientifically backed)proof of the accuracy of Bible prophecy. People, places, once thought to be made up until they were discovered by archeologists, not just general speech like many so-called psychics but exact locations(did you know there were 2 Bethlehems for example?). The list goes on and on but if you've only listened to or had bad experience with those that 2 Timothy 4:3, then your frustration is not suprising. I love science, always have and always will, but I choose not to turn my back on either side.

And just to be fair, I even bumped the fatmat thread, with every reply viewable (the two posts in question are undeleted) just so you cannot claim Im hiding behind people's inability to find the thread.

What now bro?

Turning a blind eye to the possibility that there is a creator is no better than extremists who say science is evil.
I agree, in no way have I meant to suggest otherwise. Ive never even said I dont believe in God. I simply take notice when someone claims religion is as provable as science, or vice versa.

The problem with eCrack is that he is letting personal bias dictate an alarmist's position.

Again Wisdom is a line between knowledge and faith.

Every single piece of science or anything you do relies to some extent of faith. Like I said, you can't know for sure that your chair will support you.

The alarmist's position is ineffective and counter-productive because it is possible to discredit any theory based on the principles of uncertainty.

However, this will cause the rejection of any theory which presents a personal disadvantage to the individual.

He subconsciously has a twisted standard of evidence in the subject. He ignores that fact that medical science, anthropology, Biology, and pretty much any other theory that deals with life (even Communications) relies at least in part, on the theory of evolution. The Validity of the theory is far within any sort of objective standard of judgment you might come to, unless of course you establish your standard at a UFO convention.

I was just speaking generally, not at anyone in particular.

Granted, like I said, I'm a christian. But I will fight to the death religious leaders who shovel crap and misinformation in their rhetoric to keep people under power at the expense of progress. There is quite an interesting theory that genesis was (in part) the result of the Persian empire desiring to formulate a system of government that all men could be ruled under. Michel focualt did work in this matter. He postulated that public executions were the exhibitions of lacking power. True power is if you could make it so no one questioned the rules in the first place.
