Basically, if you think that the incredibly small percentage of people who rely solely on government assistance are ruining this country, stop being such a tool. Welfare is direct stimulus to the economy. Money given to people on welfare is spent immediately and creates jobs, versus sitting in some rich *******'s bank account

All money spent employs people. Period. Sure, some items "employ more" than others, but all money spent helps the economy. Money spent on facebook games gets sent to facebook/the game's creator and then either cycles through the employees via payroll, or goes to the game's creator who then spends it, etc.

It's actually probably more like 1000. Maybe even 10,000. I'm not saying people on welfare are invaluable economy or that rich people are worthless in comparison, I'm saying it isn't ruining our country. Whether you want to admit it or not, any modern economy relies on socialist redistribution of wealth through government and taxes. Otherwise all wealth will collect at the VERY top and the economy collapses.
