no. total is just owned by JL. and will start tweeking total subs/amps later on.

Do you know what amps they are then, that use the same boards as the slash series? Or should the BS flag be raised on the whole idea?

I would also look at some of the offname amps (like JL offers an entire line of amps that have the same circuitry as their slash amps but with a different name and look, their 2nds so to speak) which tend to have fewer features than their bigger counterparts with the same sound quality.

A shop around here has them, he said they are owned by JL. My buddy ended up getting 2 12's, not sure what models, dvc 360wrms I believe, and a 2 channel 320wrms bridged amp and some shit prefab Obcon ported box. Paid like 600 for it all, the box was a little over 100, so its fairly cheap.

Pounds pretty decent and sounds pretty good.

Of course they all think they are MADE by JL and everyone is like "WOW, they are made by JL, they must be the best", and they think they are the same thing as JL. Kinda bothers me but whatever.

They arent to bad IMO

We have Total and JL at my shop. If seen inside both amps and I got to tell you, they couldnt be more different! But Total seems like very quality stuff.

this is speakin of the series JL released BELOW the slash series.

The Total Audio stuff is supposed to be pretty kick ***. My local JL dealer carries them aswell. From what I hear, they are excellent performers for the price, and they almost never have any returned with problems.
