Equalizer help...

I need something to add on to my panasonic flip out now that I have my 15" BL.

Would a equalizer similar to this one make a big difference in the sound of my subwoofer? My head unit doesnt have anything where i can adjust anything, so will this allow me to do that?

What about this one....it goes down to 20hz.

that would be better, add some boost bstween 30-40, just go easy, really its the same thing as a bass boost, but with other frequencies (mid and high frequencies), all a bass boost is a single band EQ, problem is most people turn it the whole way up trying to acheive more output from the amp and sub, when really they dont have enough power and they drive the amp into clipping which blows the sub.

it would be fine just to shape the sound, but if it isnt loud enough you need more power or better subs
