Yea, Jacob said they like a good amount of port area. Sucky thing is port area adds length which takes up air space.. Which means bigger boxes.ok, just saying what i know works and will work. and what jacob recommends
they do lack in the suspention department when in bigger boxes, if you do a tone at 30hz on 2k they will not like it in a bigger than normal boxyou can easily do 2 sa8s.and for you people saying they cant take more than rated in a bigger box, im running a clean 2k to 2 of them in a 1.6 cube box. they like it, so kindly stfu.
I honestly doubt it sounds as clean as it should, for that much power you should use a smaller box to compensate for move mechanical movement.you can easily do 2 sa8s.and for you people saying they cant take more than rated in a bigger box, im running a clean 2k to 2 of them in a 1.6 cube box. they like it, so kindly stfu.
I suggest a single sa8 or maybe even a sa10.....I would have to see what the port displacement would be to be for sure which would be better. You could also do sealed if you wanted.i did some more measuring in my trunk and i have less room than i thought. i have 29'' width x 18'' deep x 9.5'' height using 3/4'' wood ill have 2.1 cubes to work with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i had to cut down on the width because the trunk torsion bars come down and are in the way. there will be a lot of room on each side of the box for ports though. maybe i could have ports sticking out the side and they can stick out 8'' on each side and maybe have a 90 degree elbow to make them point up.
Yeah, it wouldn't leave enough room to use a properly sized port, unless he wanted to tune higher...like 35hz. I was just commenting on the box size for a pair of SA8's.Yea, but haveing 2.1 before any displacement will wind up fairly small. I have yet to check it out to see how small, but I'm sure it is to small for a set.
