enough power for a 12 inch l7?

i have an infinity ref 611a and am considering buying a kicker 2 ohm 12 inch l7 in a factory kicker ported enclosure. is this amp enough power for it? it spec says 657 watts at 2 ohms. i currently have (last years model) 2 10 inch infinity perfects in a small sealed enclosure which do pretty well but im looking for loud. i also have an old bandpass box with 2 12 inch jl audio subs (the cheap ones i believe) this box comes close to what i want but the thing is huge and takes up my whole trunk **** near. i listen to mainly rap/hip hop so im looking for that BOOM! i drive a 2006 nissan altima. any suggestions or tips? anyone think the l7 will perform any better than the two sets of subs i have? thanks in advance

I ran two L7 12's off a soundstream 1000watt amp at 1 ohm and they had no trouble getting loud. One of my buddies is running those same subs off a 900 watt amp at 2 ohms and they are fine.

657w is barely enough to run one L7. i would suggest getting a new amp.

well i would consider that if i could find a more powerful amp around the same price i paid for this one . i got my infinity amp for $ 100.00 refurbished from harmanaudio.com
