You havnt even started your engineering core classes and you whinig? Dude, its all general ed, **** it up, everyone has to do it. The only extra classes your probably taken are higher level Calculus classes and Physics I/II....Even if you change you'll be taken most the same classes...

quit being a *****. You have only been in school a short time and are making a snap judgement. As stated above the classes you are taking now don't show you anything about engineering. If the classes you are taking now make you want to quit then you might as well drop out of college all together. I can say this since I am in my senior year of computer engineering.

I have 3 classes left after this semester for my engineering degree and 2 for my minor. If I had to do it all over again...I would be business. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif If you don't like the engineering specific classes after the first year (not the first semester) then you might want to change majors. When I finally figured it out, I was already too deep into the degree to stop.

x2.

When i was a computer engineering major (later on changed to mechanical engineer) people were dropping out of computer engineering after taking physics: mechanics. which has absolutely nothing to do computer engineering. At least for me i took a few computer engineering courses to know that it wasn't for me.

Also yep when i changed majors to computer engineering to mechanical engineering, there was only two wasted classes i took when transferring from computer engineering to mechanical engineering.

to the OP, what classes are specifically kicking your ***? what engineering?

not really...
i think i'm going to switch to business/marketing or poli sci/econ

LOL! You could work hard and have a successful job right out of college with engineering....

Or you could take a piece of paper that means very little.

Of course, as an EE student, that is just my opinion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Oh.... may I say that the majority of engineering internships pay whereas plenty of business internships dont pay IIRC. If I get the internship this summer I'll be getting anywhere from 15.00 to 20.00/hr. Woo baby that's good. On top of that, its experience and all that good stuff.

I'm a mechanical engineer too alphakenny1.

im in civil engineering, and i'm just sick of math/physics based stuff. in high school, i always took english/history AP classes, but no math/science AP's. i chose engineering to see if i would like it, and i don't. i prefer less theorhetical based classes, such as history. theres not much theorhetical about something that has already happened.

I bounced from ME to EE and now back to ME...
