I recently installed a small system in my truck and had been runinng a small mtx rt2120(200wrms.) This was a temporary amp until i got a proper sized amp, an mtx 2400x (750 wrms.)

After installing this amp I now have loud whining and a pulsing low volume thump, like my subs are alive with heartbeat.

Ive seen the sticky above but with the situation here a figure the knowledgable can spot this one easy.

TIA

HA, should have just pm's you in the first place. I know i didnt scrape the paint clean, thats first. What about the wire length, its about 2 feet, no more. I read that 30' is the limit. Should i bother shortening it?

well.....did all the above and still got this crap!

I checked with magnet to see if steel, yes.

Shortened wire to one foot.

Sanded down paint.

WTF.... Bad ground in amp?
