Hello,

I was running a Kenwood receiver and 4 Alpine speakers om my car,

everything was fine until I decided to install an Alpine Amp and a Subwoofer.

Now, (and I'm sure it comes from the amp, because before that I had no noise),

I have a noise that sounds like a miniature siren that rises in pitch with the speed

of the engine. It's not to loud, but it sure anoyes me!

The strangest thing is that the noise it's ONLY on the rear right speaker. The

speaker that it's near the power cable of the battery of my car. I have a BMW

318 Cabrio that has the battery on the right side of the trunk.

What in hell can be causing this anoying noise in just that speaker? I had no

noise before the instalation of the amplifier...

Thank you,

Raul Nunes

is the power line of the newly installed amp running close to the r-r spreaker? if so that may be doing it, move the power line farther away, or shield it very well if moving it isnt possible or even disconnecting the power for the amp just another way to check if this is the prob. if that isnt it i really cant say since ive never installed on a car that nice. (or with the battery in the trunk) good luck hope this helped!

Then I don't really seen the need to run a ground directly from the alt, but given your situation, it can't hurt.

I would run another ground wire to cleaned off metal. Sometimes there is a Metal Bracket under the dash that generally work well. You can try...
