idk, i think whoever is next mod is not one who spends much time in the dome. that is kind of high-school prom-queen/class-president type of mentality. after-all, it's ca.com, not thunderdome.com.... just saying... biggest need for moderation is not to babysit the free-for-all, but to keep the actual audio section of this audio site a little tidy/maintained... as far as i can tell, the skar and smitty issues have been the only issues from the dome that have any real bearing on what this site really is. and, this too, shall pass...

Is that a bad thing though? I mean really, in relation to the rest of the Internet, this forum isn't that amusing. In my opinion, you shouldn't be trying to compete with the Internet to be amusing, this site should be here for knowledge and information. There is a lot of info, but it's buried in with a bunch of BS. It's like a high school hallway around here most of the time. Despite that, there aren't many places to go and get this type of information, especially when going for SPL. DIYMA is there for the SQ side, and SMD is, well it's SMD. This forum isn't going to end, and that's a good thing. Alot of you will take this as a jab, but it's just my opinion, take it how you will.

Why can't we have fun while learning? Its easy enough to find quality information here. I see no reason for this site to be the end all car audio dictionary. I come here for laughs and knowledge. Oh I'm not saying it's gotta be an internet library with no laughter, though as I re-read my post maybe that's how it came off. Go to town in the Dome, it's there to let loose, and I agree that there shouldn't really be any mods in there, except for the blatantly stupid and against the rules crap. But it seems like sometimes it's taken too far. For example, there are certain people that do nothing but post "funny" stuff on here, and then when they may post actually useful info, it's impossible to take them seriously. And as for finding quality information, when's the last time you did a search? I do searches quite often looking for stuff, and unless it's a really specific topic, there are hundreds of threads that pop up, and you have to go through pages of posts that don't pertain to the topic. Some things are easy to get good info on, but others are buried in a sea of BS. Although I guess that's how it is everywhere....

The site has been OK IMO since ICETEEBONE was Banned. I come here I buy, sell, trade, learn and, help others. Time to time I get in on the none sense threads. I remember there used to be countless racist threads not they bothered me at all but, they were very inappropriate.

Honestly they were HILARIOUS but, inappropriate.
