Enclosure size/volume for mid bass driver

I wanted to install the MB Quart 6.5in mid bass add on drivers for a three way system and was curious. When doing as sealed kick panel type enclosure for the mid bass woofer, what kind of volume so that enclosure have? Is it not that critical as with woofers?

Very critical. MB Quart woofers would better enjoy infinite baffle setups to my knowledge. So, rather than sealing the kickpanel, you need to find a way to "vent" it into a larger airspace.

I made the mistake of sealing my first kicks, and the driver's side kick has roughly 0.03 to 0.05 cubes more the passenger side. The difference is just unimaginable. In favor of the passenger side, mind you. I would seriously recommend venting them. Midrange *does* suffer in a sealed kick, regardless of how much or how noticable it is.

Speaking of which, I should really try venting mine.

How would you suggest venting a pair of kicks. Cut out the back side?

Yeah, cut a hole in the backside and vent them into fender wells.
