I will be running my dc xl 15 at 1800-2000 rms daily and want to tune to 33hz. I know it recommends 3.5 cubes but running at my current power and hz what would you recommend?

Shouldn't have any issues running 3.5. You could throw it in 4.0 if you wanted

3.5 will be good on that power. Thats a fun woofer man. I cant wait to double up power and run 2 next year

IMO, stick with the recommended box size in this case.

4.003 cubic ft is optimal for 33hz for this driver. The reason 3.5 cubic ft is recommended by DC Audio is that nearly 3 cubic ft works for the level 4, and on the website, the VAS is not listed for the XL, so it was estimated that 3.5 would not be too much area. Using the displacement value of the level 4 18, that is only .01cubic ft different than the xl15 displacement, I calculated using the VAS of the level 4 18 with all other parameters of the xl15. This gave me the 4.003 cubic ft as a great recommended volume with the limited info we have on the xl series. If someone knows the actual VAS, I can get more accurate recommendations.
