Enclosure Recommendations?

I was looking for brand recommendations. I plan on running 2 12" Alpine's in a ported box.
if you started with this, people would be more helpful. also tell them how much room you have for the box (dimensions) and what you are going for ex, Spl or Sq. And the type of alpine may be of help too, since last time I checked they made more than one sub

That makes complete sense. You're just an idiot.
Twisted said he would make you a box and he is saying that he will vouch for him. And your subs will sound like ass slapping in a prefab.
Your right, I quoted the wrong sentence. I understand that, thanks.

I guess you guys would never recommend a box prefabricated such as the ones on sonicelectronics.com?

I was looking for a 12" circle ported box, 2 alpine type R 2 ohm subs. I'd say ideal would be around 36L x 24W x ?H but size shouldn't be too much of a matter. Black cloth. Looking for a mix of spl and sq.

Now this is the kind of helpful information that was needed.

Almost everyone on here (including me) is going to tell you to stay away from prefab boxes and either build your own or have someone build one for you. Prefabs have lower quality and you are limited to the sizes/tuning that they offer. Making your own box is relatively easy if you have access to the tools and will save you some money. If you don't want to build one, then you can have one of many members here make one for you. It will be more expensive but it will be exactly what you want and it will be top quality.

If you are willing to build one yourself, the first thing you need to do is look around for the recommended enclosure volume for the Type R's. Once you have that you can use one of the online box calculators like RE Enclosure Calculator or Basic Car Audio Electronics (use 110 directory on the right-side) to design a box that will fit in the space that works best in your vehicle.

After you have some results from those calculators, post back here and we can help out some more.
