Enclosure not producing

I went to my local installer to have my box built 3.5 cubes internal nice heavy braced box but I can't break the 140 db mark. Was told 140 is easy to archive to I was hoping for more. He said its my equipment not his design. So my question is am I at my limit with what I have or should I look into a different box? Running 2 12" treo ssx powered by power bass xta 5000

Is the box ported? If so, what is it supposedly tuned at? Sounds a little small for a couple 12"s if you're going for SPL. You should be closer to a 150 with 5k and a couple 12"s. What's your electrical like?

post pics of the setup. post up what the amp settings are at. What the subs are wired down to. Gain/Bass Boost etc..

Electrical what is it like.

140 is pretty easy to hit.

Tuned to 36 hz big 3 2 X's power Batts in back 1 under the hood stock alt. Think the box is to small?

it can look nice all it wants but if the design is horrible, its not worth a **** thing. Its definitely not your equipment.

Glad to hear it's not the equipment. ...was a little iffy on the power bass amp But I figured for 300 why not

any idea on the port area? Is that 3.5 cubic feet after displacement and braces or before?

Have you done any sound deadening yet? it'll help with output also.

What is the Subs/Amp bridged to? How is the setting on the amp. etc.. all of this. Them Treo's should get loud as hell..

Powerbass amps are pretty **** good for the money.

What car ? First off. Like said. With what you have. A 145 should be easy. Possibly even a 150. Something definately is wrong with what ever the installer has done here dimensions of your box and pics of the amp settings will help
