Hi,
I want to build a enclosure for a single JBL P1022 sub. I like all kinds of music but especially hiphop. I have run the parameters in WinISD JBL P1022 SPECIFICATIONS Pdf Download. and comes up with the following enclosures (sealed and ported)
Sealed: 45 liters (1,6cu ft) q .7 f3 35hz
Ported: 45 liters port 4" x 27" tuned at 27hz. The port is a bit large but I could fit it with a corner in it.
All net volume. The JBL recommended enclosure doesnt looks too great in winisd, a large bump at 37hz, and lots of port noise.
The ported enclosure looks ok, group delay looks a bit high but that's at 25hz, so I'm not sure if you will notice that. Air velocity should be ok.
Any thoughts? Or should I just stick with the JBL recommended?
I will have 500-600w rms available.
Grey is JBL recommended, Yellow is what I came up with.
