enclosure for JL

I went to a local car shop to see how much it would cost me for them to build me a box for two jl 15w3s in a 2.25 enclosure. They said that it would cost me 285 dollars. Isn't this way too much money? Also, i know premade boxes arent really good but I found one that is an 2.25 enclosure for only 100 dollars online. Should i buy the 100 dollar one....or save up even more and buy the 285 dollar box? thanks alot for your time

The best box as far as I am concerned, is a well thought out, DIY box. And yes, $285 and even $100 is too much for a box.

Its a do it yourself box Which means you design it, with the help of a box building program, or get the plans from somewhere else. It would cost you probably under $50.
