Enabling "LOUD"... Is it a problem?

Been having issues not having a clear quality on my 6x8 pioneers. Wanted to know if setting my H/U on "LOUD" is causing the problem. When it is enabled, my subs hit clean and loud, but the lyrics is horrible and barely can hear them. There are times when i just want to turn down the volume so i dont embarass myself. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif . My setup is pretty decent and i do not know what is going on. My sub mono amp is set at around 27 volts and my 4 channel is set to around 13 volts each channel.

Is it probably something wrong in the triggers on my 4 channel amp? Maybe the frequency? Or the Input select is wrong? or RCA splitters are not connected right? what may the problem be?

Thanks so muchhhh

if you have proper equipment loud and other features such as bass boost are not needed at all let your amps do the work they are made to if it doesn't sound loud then you need a bigger amp

LOUD tends to boost all the frequencies which can easily lead to distorted sound and clipped signals which is why it is recommended against.

Since LOUD wont be enabled anymore. it wont hurt turning up the BASS or Treble right?
IMO these should be used as a last resort for tuning purposes. Ideally, you want to properly set your gains (with a DMM), and the crosssover on the amp and/or HU accordingly. Then you can fine tune with the other settings on your HU.

Yeah like was already said set the gain on your properly. Its a very simple equation

Squareroot(power*resistance)

Where power is equal to the rms at which you are running your speakers.

The number yielded is what you want to tune your gain to using a DMM on the ac volt setting. I would suggest using a 1K hz test tone.

So the same thing for the sub but use a lower test tone like 60 hz.

This will keep you from having to use the LOUD function on your amp.
