This is what I got, pretty sure it all works out...

38x16x12= 3.216 internal cu ft(assuming 3/4" MDF) before sub and port disp.

sub disp= .085 cu ft.

port diameter= 4"

port length=5.95"

port area= 12.566"

net box vol(after all displacements)= 3.088 cu ft.

port tuning=35 Hz

so how did u get all of those #'s? how many ports should i use? thats something i didnt think of earlier? does it matter?

you just need one port...I'm not that good with port calculations though...so might wanna call up ED and ask them, tell em the #'s I gave you and see what they say...

mount it same way the sub is facing...off to either side...

so, if the sub is facing towards the back seats, then the port needs to be facing the back seats and not up towards the top of the trunk or something?

Is that how you're gonna face it? The port needs at least a few inches from the surface for airflow, keep that in mind.

no, that was just an example. im going to have it facing out. facing you when you open the trunk.
