wow is the new eD's that bad?

the pple who r saying that you wouldn't buy the new ones, have u actually heard the new ones already?

i'm not doubting anyone, i've never heard them myself yet...

its just that the prices are very reasonable and with a 3 yr warrantee, they seem like they are decent...alot of pple are saying that the Ov2's sound great and get loud like IDQ's...

than there's pple who r saying they woundn't buy it on their life...are the new eD's that bad???????? and is eD's new service that bad?

I have a 12o.44, flat cone. Its a nice sub.

The new ones arent as nice as the old ones.

And if youve ever had a flat cone you would know

i never said they are bad. i compaired them to the lowest line of speakers that ID sells. i know they are not the exact same driver, but thats like saying TC2 drivers are not similar, and do not perform similar.

just saying they seem to be ED's higher end line, i just think that is funny.

This is, actually, the first current eD driver I'd ever consider purchasing.

I'm trying to decide if my loathing of Ben supersedes my love for large diameter coned drivers. Since there is presently a lack of good sounding, cost effective 18" drivers in the marketplace.

Has a lot of potential... I love effecient subs!

It's not really that "efficient" of a sub. Just a [relatively] low power handling sub.

My calculated sensitivity for it is around 92db....which isn't all that great for such a large diameter sub.
