Electricity Experts (serious problem)

70 amps is plenty for a 300w amp!

I have 1000watts running from one amp, and 280watts from my other amp running all the time and I haven't had a problem. Just don't bump your last few miles of each drive and turn it down at stoplights (which you should do out of respect anyways), and you will be fine. There is more than likely another problem in your system, and it's not the battery/alt.

It all depends on how much load the stock components are creating on the system.

I had a little mazda protege with a 60 amp alternator that ran a 800 watt rms amplifier with no problems, as long as i didnt run AC, lights etc...

Say for example his stock components are drawing 55 amps then with the amp he is drawing a minimal 75 amps with volume up. That would eventually lead to a loss of power from the battery.

If lights flash with volume up, you're drawing more than your alternator can supply. This seems to be a new trend or something LOL.
