Electric Fan is great Sound deadener?

DA.MN Ever since I got into it with those punchy guys last week DRAMA is breaking out everywhere...and your right SUPA..The price for the fan I want is well over $400...thats almost a set of Comps and subs combined...

LETS ALL GET ALONG!!!

BTW Depression, you need to get some audio before you get a fan, sheesh guy !.audioholic, you are forgiven.

I did not disagree with anybody on my first post.

P.S

you wath TRUCKS Depression, they were talkin about electric fans.

But that parts over.

You just keep going, dont you supa? Whats your point who disagreed with whom first? Does that make any difference? I could just as easily say your first post contradicted mine. But you know what? That's fine, contradict me all you want. I am wrong sometimes. *gasp* If you'd be so kind as to point out where my post disagree'ing with you is wrong, we can surely debate that. However, I will not debate the ethics of simply disagreeing with you supa c. My post was not inflamatory or condescending, it was simply disagreeing. Its you who got your panties in a wad over it, even sending me an inflamatory PM, not me. But you are the bigger man thats going to drop it, and Im the one that has to always be right, right?

Depression, yes the flex a lites are expensive. The one I installed was right around $400 too.

Not following you exactly now. I installed a flex a lite electric fan setup. Its a dual fan, electrically powered cooling system that has metal bladed fans.

BTW, it said at full tilt it would pull 40amps. I was amazed it took so much juice. That's the same current draw as a decent sized amplifier at full tilt. Which is just another reason why Id rather harness the mechanical energy of the engine (cluth fan) rather than the electrical energy from the alt. Most of us seem to tax our alts enough as it is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

edit: Im not condemning electric fans btw, they certainly have their place. It depends on the situation. For example, Im putting an electric fan on my big block chevelle, because I have the spare amps from the alt (among other reasons).

Yes, it is an opportunity cost. And the more current you pull from your alt, the more drag it will apply to the engine, hence the loss in HP. Pulling a full 200 amps from a 200 amp alt will cause more drag on the engine than would pulling 100 amps, for example. This is regardless of an underdrive pulley, as all this will do is increase its rpm's relative to the crankshaft.
