You are missing his point. When you received this money in your pay check, you could have done a variety of things. One of the things you can do is buy a fractional ownership in a company. If this company is profitbable and pays a dividend, then indeed you are taxed twice on the original income. If you were to instead buy some car audio, then you are only taxed once.
I am not going to say it's stealing, but you are taxed twice on that original income. If you reinvest your dividends, you may be taxed many many times on the original income.

No, I get that logic. In some ways it makes sense, but there are some major distinctions. Corporations are not simply a pass through entity from the market to the individuals. Do the Corporations get taxed, of course. But they also are offered all sorts of rights and protections not offered to individuals. One main reason for the dividend tax, is because otherwise it would be one more tax-free source of income for the richest folks in america. The largest portion of shareholders in dividend paying companies happen to be trusts whose beneficiaries are the descendents of company founders.

How about the unintended consequences of tax-free dividends? Executives giving themselves bonuses in the form of shares producing tax-free dividends. This could encourage corporations to pay out larger dividends at the expense of the corps long term outlook. Let's keep in mind, dividends are voluntary. So what would a corporation do to make their share prices go up? They could pay large voluntary dividends to drive demand in favor of their shares. Earnings growth should drive stock prices, not the promise of temporary high dividend payments.

You have to look further into the numbers. Obama has 55 uncounted electoral votes sitting in Cali. They haven't closed the polls yet.

If McDonald's gave you 1 BBQ less than usual with your food for every person, each day they would save between 15 and 27 million dollars. FYI.. That would make a difference seeing how we're so far in debt.

It sure isnt now.. I saw much better chances coming from a businessman who has had success. If only I had a "redo" for my last 4 years as Obama basically got.. What a joke.

Better enjoy your jobs while you have them. Other small businesses wont be hiring because now we will be forced to use Obamacare as well, since that friggin amendment wasnt passed either.
