what do i need?

i bought a planet audio d2500 so i know im going to have to upgrade my electrical system. i was thinking it would be wisest to upgrade the big 3 and buy a new alternator, then when i gt some more money, pick up a yellowtop or something.... i dont know, help!

im on a budget, so i want to get the most necessary/helpfull/cheapest things done first.

What kind of alt does your car come with now? Upgrading the batt and the Big 3 may be all that you need for now. Your not always going to be driving the amp at peak power, in fact if you set it up right you should only be lightly tapping the limit of the amp, hence you'll never be drawing all of the power that the manufacturer says the amp needs.

For your budget, just do the big 3 and the battery. If you have dimmage or voltage drops then save for awhile and get an HO alt.

yea thats what i was thinking. also because i dont play my music for extended periods of time, just at high power for short periods of time, so it would probably be more harsh on the battery than the alternator anyways.
