Some pics with the subs in

will clear the wire mess later

I just came back with some little vids. Seriously i hate this shitty canon camera, it plain *****. There's a shitload of flexing, much more than before, especialy the doors. Cam doesn't pick up 1/10th of the action and brand new bat last like 10min of video...

anyway here's the vids

Billy Jean with some added low end //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Check the roof at the end

after rewatching the videos, they plain *****. I really need a better cam //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

is that red and black wire the speaker wires?looks pretty small.

Rear fill speaker wire. Since i fade the sound 80% front they might be getting 30 watt each. Not really a concern imo but i really need to clean these out

12awg from the frontstage to mb quart amp

It's been almost a week since the new subs are in and seriously, i'm still as impressed. They hit pretty much anything with so much clarity and authority. They don't seems to roll off as quickly as all the other subs i had in the upper range, except maybe the type Rs... but they weren't sounding 1/10th as good and wasn't hitting anything under 30hz.

They impress everyone whos listen to them so far. I'll be going at an sq meet soon and see with an rta how flat they really are

They sound perfect at low level, blending with the frontstage and they still sound sharp at high level, when flexing the roof like if it was paper. Cone aren't even getting warm at full tilt.... prolly clipping included

100% satisfied.

Did few more vids. I'm pretty stuck up to 142 on epic-160 on music, but i'm almost 100% it's louder than this. I haven't really tried with sine wave... I'm affraid of this a little. I seems to peak around 35hz... so pretty much a lowend setup

I'll get rta'ed/ spl'ed on 16 of august with the spl-180 mic if i rembember well. Still no TL around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Your expecting higher than a 142 on 2 12's in a simple low tuned slot port box?

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

wait, maybe you're right. But anyway, i wouldn't even want to be louder. I might be the loudest in Quebec already lol

I just edited my last post. They sounded quite better with less port area, but they are definitively louder now. No one with a TL in Quebec lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I guess most shop don't even know what TL mean loleer

Also these subs are awesome playing below the tuning freq. They does move a lot of air around 24-25hz... even if the box is on the little side and tuned high

Compared to the 18Q i had before, i loved the sound of the sd2.5 better. They still hit every freq the Q was hitting, but in a more punchiest way... They're getting 2x louder too.

Also i'll seal the door hole soon. It does take a lot of time and I was getting ill. Manual work ain't for me

i know a few termlabs in quebec

look up Yaniv he has a termlab and he used to be doing 155-159's so you arent the loudest but im sure you make some noise

and we did the first multi point dbdrag in quebec with him last year

so you were in napierville two summers ago? I almost went there, but only had a day off and it's like 3hours away from quebec city (where i'm from)

I just joined a local audio community and they're pretty much all about sq. I've seen a yellow van in the newspaper too, the guy was doing big numbers in the 79hz, one-note wonder. I'd like to see that, pretty much everyone go wild when they hear my system, that gives you an idea

Back to the build, i've done few mods lately i'll keep that update when i'll get a minute

and one of my mid sound weird, so i'm getting the diy cheap boner the replace the id set

i did add this in the last month

i'm not quite done with that. I need something to put around to make it look more "finished"

Weather is **** cold atm in quebec, just waiting a sunny day

also a ppi 356cs set coming this week to replace the id ctx65cs. Can't wait to hear them...

How the heck are you running windows on there?

Kevin
pioneer avic's run off window ce, we're not supposed to get there... but paying 129$ for a small update is just not for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
