Either I just got an AMAZING deal or I just got ripped....

dude read all the replies, but I did read V-8 and thought, of course you got a deal.... people don't want v-8's right now, though the one in that car will probably get close the the mileage in the 6cyl-

their 4.0 6 is a great motor too.. owned a couple of them...one with just under 200k when I traded it in

Yeah I think average like 1 to 1.5 mpg diff between the v6 and the v8. Now I know back in the day I had a 91. Got like 15.5 mpg in city. put wall of speakers and batts etc in. got 12mpg. I think with the weight of the stereo (what I am planning on doing) will prob be just as good if not better than the v6. the weight won't affect the v8 as much

bought my '90 lesabre for $950 over a year ago with 135k, now has 146k, no major problems. I had to put in spark plugs, a new starter, replace some corroded fuel line, and now i need a couple new sensors. Those were basically all maintenance stuff that would need to be done to any car that old.

i got a heck of a deal, runs great, gets 27mpg highway or so, better probably after i replace the O2 sensor and coolant temp sensor and clean the MAF and EGR. I love this car, its my first car, and I plan on keeping it for a while. Those GM 3800 engines are known to be practically bulletproof and last 300k miles easy
