Also, does anyone recoment a single 8, besides the rl and 8w6, that would wang? Like that MA?
I don't remember the displacement of the RL-i8, it can be found on Soundsplinters website. Or ask on the SS forum. So what is the dispacement size of the sub, or what whill i need the voulme to be to achive the .2, or close to, cuft?
The reason i ask is i need the least amount of space taken up in the cargo area.
Is there another sub that you would recomend besides the SS?
For a little more you can pick up a 8L7
yea might look into that....really like the rl-i8 though....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gifFor a little more you can pick up a 8L7![]()
So 2 of these vs the rl-i8?Go ported if your going with the RL-i. Wont take that much space....
Otherwise, you cant beat the assassins at 50 bucks each. They have as much or more ouput than any eight out there under 100 bucks...They sound great sealed. With the right power, around 400RMS each, they get decently loud....Dont forget the three year warranty....
Like i stated, i am trying to minimize space....I don't remember the displacement of the RL-i8, it can be found on Soundsplinters website. Or ask on the SS forum. For the price the RL-i8 is hard to beat. In output and accuracy.
The only other single 8's I would recomend for output are the L7 and DD8.
If you were going with 2 you could try RE8's. They are pretty potent for the price.
As long as you stick with a know performer you will not go wrong.

b/c you guys are the shizzle....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif![]()
I told the guys over at SS Forum i want to run the smallest box i can with out starving the sub of airspace....they hooked me up with a guy that has built a small box for the rl-i8 that he is gonna sell to me....The simple questions that none have asked and is a mandatory "need to know the answer to" question: How much space, exactly, do you have to spare? Where is this space you plan on putting your subwoofer enclosure? Can you take a picture and post it with a red arrow pointing to the location with some precise measurements? Without knowing what you have to sacrifice (SPACE), NOBODY can give you an educated recommendation. Share what you can spare and we'll give you a better idea of what will really work in that spot in the vehicle and on whatever power you have. Make sure to let us know what amp you'll be putting on the setup and what power it's supposed to make at what impedance.
