Ok well i think i have come to the conclusion of ditching the 12 and going with an eight or eights....

This is for lack of space, i use my cargo area....

So here are the ones i am looking at...

1-2 RE 8s

1 RL-i8

1-2 Image Dynamics IDv3 8

My db Drive amp's stats...

Circuitry - Class AB technology

4 ohm @ 14.4 - 2 x 120 watts

Well I just pulled out my RL-p 12 and put 2 RL-i 8s in. THey sound nice and the get low. The 12 was ported and the 8s are sealed so I lost alot of output bet everyone that has heard the 8s say the sould real nice and tight. The SQ with the RL-i 8s is great. Mike from SS is a great guy he will answer any ? you have. He is on vacation until 7-10. What about Diamond D3 8s? Ive got a pair of Dual 2 ohm D3 8s in a pair of .9 cubic foot boxes tuned to 32hz and they get real low and pretty loud for 8s. Im running 250 watts into each one. They are not as loud as my single D3 12 in a 2cuf 27 hz box, but they are not far from it.

I got mine locally for $100 each, they can be found cheaper online though.

Theyve got great SQ in my opinion.

In this order

1 RL-i8 in a small sealed box.

2 RE 8s in a small dual sealed

2 Assassin 8s in a small dual sealed

has anyone heard the rl-i 8's ported? i'm thinking of getting 4 8's and can't decide between 06 8" L7's -or- rl-i 8's ?? which do u think would have more output ported?

From what i have read the Rl-i series are "made" to be sealed....
