jl w3v2 love 500w rms and sound great

the w3v2 is a terrible woofer. it sounds funky and on top of that the thing pops and SQ fades fast as it gets some heat in it.

yea the OZ's came to mind also. I just didnt know if it would be a waste because I know that they will handle alot more.

Just because it can handle more power, doesn't mean you always need to feed it more power.

The Type R's RMS is 500 watts, so that could be a good fit perhaps.

so all these subs that are being mentioned are for a ported box right? Even the w6? Also is 2.0 enough for a 12? Too small? Too Big? Or just sub dependent.

Ive also thought about that sub alot too lol.

On top of being efficient I would want it to be musical as well so that it handles most music very well.

yea with 500w in 2 cubes PORTED, not sealed, they sound muddy that big sealed, but get darn loud.

Im gonna be running 2 Rl-ps of off 600 watts apiece in 1.5 cubes sealed apiece probably in 2 weeks, Ill let you know how they perform.

Si Mag D2 sounds really good off 500 rms when me and buddy played with it didnt move as far as it could, but it got **** loud and sounded awesome

but hes doing 1.5 sealed though right? I wonder how much of a difference it is. I know flakko mentioned earlier that 2.0 ported sounds muddy but then I kinda thought going ported would help the efficiency.
