Effective 12 sub

Just curious about this one. I know many people will recommend lots of subs with over 1000 watts just wondering what kind of 12 sub would be really effective with only about 497 watts. I might consider one of these later on. I know the LIs are know to be effective and loud. Lets say the box would be at least 2.0 ported kinda low. But the sub would still be able to handle most bass notes nicely.

Im pretty sure they would its just that my trunk isnt too big. I remember I used to have a 12 SE in 2.0 cubes @ 32 hz. It seemed to fit perfect and there was hardly any cancelation. I think i should have just kept that box and got a different sub. O well. But yea 3 cubes is too much. Probably 2.25 would be my max; which is usually a pretty good ported size for 12 drivers.

500w is still a hefty amount of power, in all honesty.

I know....it seems miniscule with all the people running 2kw+ on their subs........but 500w (or less) will work wonderfully on the vast majority of subwoofers on the market.

Eclipse Alum series, O Audio TC2+, Acoustic Elegance AV12, OZ Matrix Elite, etc etc......

yea the OZ's came to mind also. I just didnt know if it would be a waste because I know that they will handle alot more.
