Effecient amp needed

I need an effecient amp for my new rl-i's. I want something that will do 800w @ 4 ohms and i won't have to replace anything. Any ideas? I was looking at this amp but i heard it sucks a lot of power.

I want something that will run the rl-i's good and then if i ever want to upgrade the subs then i can change the ohms the sub is doing and get some subs that'll handle a the power.

I'm open to any other suggestions.

Or maybe i could get a 1000w @ 1 ohm and then make sure it's .5 ohm stable or so.

To get 800 watts, your amp will have to draw at least 800 watts. For a DD, this *usually* won't cause problems from your charging system. Efficiency isn't really a huge deal in amps when your subs are less than 2% efficient.

I'd say if that amp does it's rated power, go for it. Room to grow and a good price for that kind of power.

Rockford's T2's & T3's have birthed close to 85% efficiency.

Look into the T1s.

concept cc-d1200 man... does 1100 @1ohm at 12.5v, doesn't draw a lot of current, i have a stock alt and when i'm bumping it idle my needle barely moves, it is a solid choice for anyone with a standard elec... 600 @4ohm... not sure at two tho :/

That's a bad comparison. My MTX is not exactly a pinnacle of efficiency, and bumping at idle with a 90 amp alt I don't have any voltage loss whatsoever.

that is going to be hard to find. class A\B amps that are bridgeable to 4ohms are cheap, and you can get that power for less money, but efficency sucks ***.

a 800x1@2 ohm classD amp will be more efficent, (im assuming you have SVC4 or DVC2 subs) and an 800x1@1ohm will be even better.

nick said the T1's are quite efficent. but any classD amp that is stable@1 will be fine id suppose. make sure you use at least 4 guage power\ground, and do the big 3 if its that big of a deal.

i dont really have any suggestions tho.
