JL are a bunch of *******, every other sub out there, FI, TC, RE, all look the friggin same to me, but do they ***** over "they stoled our basket". no, which is why i like those other brands. but JL is just scared, and they should be, because the W7 is going to be blown away. Jl owns the patent on that basket that ED wanted to use

the 12spoke cast basket was owned by MTX to begin with, but after 10 years that patent ran out.

the 18" version of the 12spoke (the non sandcast one that is supposedly much stronger ) is owned by some guy in asia and he wont let that thing go lol. its why we all use the sandcast basket now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your 2 cents don't understand patent laws, apparantly. JL isn't scared of ED... but ED did violate their patent on elevated frame cooling. You think JL should just say "oh well" after paying all sorts of money to patent that technology? I don't think so.

Slow down... read what is being said. Chad is referring the to 12-spoke that everyone else uses in the second part of his post, not the JL basket.

learn how to read what i said. The MTX basket is the 12 spoke " generic" basket that everyone , fi, re, etc uses today

the JL basket is just that a JL Basket that they tooled designed and patented
