Stay away from edead. I've heard a handful few success stories, but not enough to warrant all the horror stories I've heard. If you want something a bit cheaper, go with standard Second Skin Damplifier, Raammat BXTII, or the Sound deadener showdown CLD tiles. Also keep in mind that 100% coverage isn't necessarily the way to go. Read up on the SDS website.

I'd be in the handful that had success with edead... I used it to deaden my doors and its been through tempuratures ranging from below zero to almost 100 and it hasn't melted or anything and its stuck just fine... its the newer butyl edead so that may be why it worked out

I just finished installing 70sq ft of Edead 45 in my truck. It is butyl adhesive with some type of plastic feeling liner. I am happy with the results, it sticks well and there is no odor. I have installed Dynamat extreme in the truck before and think its a better product overall but not worth the price difference. I would buy Edead for my next project.

I think this is going to be the general view of edead.

For the money its good enough.

There is better out there, but ur gonna pay for it...

I've never used any sound deadner so its likely I'm wrong but my guess is those who say edead sucks are the cheapies who expect it to be the best for the cheapest.

Its just not gonna happen. If u buy edead u have to come to terms ur buying one of the cheapsest out there.

I know it wasn't asked, but I have to throw AudioWrap's name into this. It's inexpensive, it's REALLY sticky, and it's nice and thick. It personally gained me 1.5db. Sure it changed my resonant freq, but it also reduced my roof flex A LOT.

I've had edead 80 in my car for almost 2 years now, sticks well works good. Been in temps from 90 for -40, works fine. My cousin has used fatmatt and has fallen off since

if its for 2 doors, $46 is not bad.
